Well, I don't think this is "simply because of 1 little assassin".
I think Reiko knew perfectly who Miku was and she reacted quicly to prevent the rest ot the people to discover it. I also think that Reiko has plans on that little boy and she wants more power through him, and then his sister would be a problem, so she sent the whole ministry army to chase her using the excuse of "an assassin trying to kill the boy".

Yes but I think our character's action is too rushed. I guess Reiko is not really member of Yuudachi family, she's using Ashu as a puppet to gain people's trust.

The characters didn't rush too much, imo. They were already questioning the Ministry and Miku was very clearly not posing a threat - hell, I can't think of any assassin who would openly walk up to their target. Anyone with half a brain should be able to realize it, but they are brainwashed by the mesmer Reiko.

Honestly I think part 1 is already a little bit forced, the Am Fah and Jade deserve annihilation, especially their leader should not be freed like we did. Sure maybe it's not good to kill them all but at least the gang should be disbanded.
Also, it's really not wise to openly go against them when so many Ministry troops are there. Miku later admitted that she lost her mind when she saw her brother but our character got no excuse.

Doesn't look like we had much of a choice. They were about to kill Miku, we spoke out once, then Reiko told her guards to kill us all. I do think that it was deliberately written to feel rushed, to imply that Reiko knows damn well who Miku is (of course she would, she's her aunt too) and that her actions were motivated by a desire to shut Miku up ASAP. If this were a movie, you'd have the cue of seeing Reiko's eyes widen briefly when she first sees Miku, followed by a sharp change in demeanor as she yells her commands over Miku's protests. We just get dialog. This is the main reason that GW plots feel trite, IMO.

We can attack Miku first before the guards, but give her a chance to escape and block the guards during the fight, then pretend to go out and chase her.
If Reiko is smart she would let the guards take Miku to some prison immediately rather than speak so much then let the guards kill her.

I don't think she brainwashed anyone really. The Ministry of Purity offers both the people of Cantha and it's members a kind of stability that from the sounds of things, even the Emperor hasn't been able to offer for thousands of years. Any perceived threat to this promise of order will instantly cause for the members to become skittish.
Fear is very powerful and makes people do stupid things completely of their own accord. It lead the people of Kryta to follow the White Mantle, and it is leading the citizens of Cantha into the arms of Reiko and her ministry.

I have a problem with this too. No matter how big a problem you're facing, going head to head with the most renowned heroes Cantha has ever known is going to be a bigger one. You're going to lose the fight, and you're going to lose the people. I don't understand why any of the parties involved would do it rather than looking for another solution.

My problem with the plot is that there seems to have been no point in even telling this story. They could have used a single paragraph to sum up what happens, because in the end everything we did was completely ineffectual (Ashu and Xun Rao will continue where Reiko left off, one way or another cantha loses).
The only reason we played through this whole thing over so many months was so that
Miku could join our party and have a few sentences of character development, for real!
Compare this to Winds in Kryta where tons of stuff happened (even if it was badly written), what we played caused significant change in Kryta. We actually got rid of the Mantle and helped the monarchy rise back to power. Tons of stuff happened in changed in Kryta! Nothing changes in Cantha except for what we already knew before we even started playing War in Cantha! They told us the Tengu would be involved and they straight up told us how Cantha ends up in GW2.
